Cefn Park, Wrexham, North Wales

Guided Tours

Step back in time and enjoy a visit to the original Victorian kitchen at Cefn Park. Featured on The One Show and in the national press, the kitchen is full of many of its original contents as well as other historical finds from the house. Last used during the Second World War, in its heyday it would have been the busy hub of the house full of activity as the staff prepared the food and looked after the needs of their upstairs employers.

We are delighted to be able to open Cefn Park for the first time to private group tours. The tours will take up to two hours and include a history of the Victorian Kitchen as well as stories about some of the fascinating characters who have lived here, including Sir Roger Palmer who rode in The Charge of the Light Brigade.

The tour includes the downstairs rooms of the house. Weather permitting, this can be followed by a walk through the grounds, along the Beech Walk and down to the Walled in Garden where the fruit and vegetables were grown for the kitchen, and indeed, are still grown today.
